OUR PROCEDURE

Depending on the size and nature of your pet, either a doctor or a doctor and assistant, will come to your home. We typically wear street clothes with scrub tops for those pets who suffer from white coat syndrome. All paperwork and payment is taken care of upon our arrival. This includes aftercare as well as some legal paperwork. We administer a sedative to your pet by injection in the muscle of the hind end. After 5-10 minutes, your pet will be fully asleep and unaware. An injection is then administered that goes into the bloodstream. This is an overdose of an anesthetic and stops the heart. Your pet will only feel the initial injection and will just pass in it's already sleeping state. This is our normal procedure, however, special requests of any variety will be made to the best of our ability. We want to make a terrible event as pleasant as possible.
